Bisoul Events
They live in the dark.
They return in form of sporadic flights.
And no they are not bats, they are not vampyres, they are just
the artists who keep working from time to time and then one day, like a candle
in a dark room, come to impose themselves on your souls.
Here is a log of Bisoul events so far. Choose one to click for more details.

The 4th event within 18months, here is an overview at what GILDA has to offer.
TO BURN/NOT BURN THE WITCH? Spooky music Shock opera
Based on an uncommon adaption of the Shakespearian “To be or not to be?” concept, Karr Krow's Spooky Shock Theatre meets Industrial, Metal and Medieval Rock Opera shall perplex patrons with the haunting realities and mischiefs taking place at the medieval village of Twinbridge, where torture devices of the era will take over the stage and a gruesome event from history books will be recreated and only put to an end by Dr. Joseph Ignace.
“At 14 years of age, I used to put loose beads in my mouth, eat a piece of string, and pull out a necklace. This trick brought me unwanted attention at school but now that I am a grown-up I have replaced the beads with needles and razor blades! And I like the attention hehe!” narrates Krow, who has since studied with BBC props-men Philippe Kapinen and Henry Brittan. http://krow.krayz.info to get a glimpse at the enormity of events on stage during this show!!!!
MARTYRIUM exclusive live-show on stage
American Line Productions artists MARTYRIUM return fresh from their mini-European tour and before releasing their 2 nd album with an exhibition in leather, corpse-paint, and fire-breathing with visual projections out of this world …and direct on flesh, whether theirs or yours for you to see at GILDA!!!
A subliminal and subconscious musical experience that shall transport one's mind to distant realms. An account from grimy groove to industrial overkill, the MARTYRIUM show is one like you have never seen them before! www.martyrium.net for info!!!!
IL-FISH
Known for his extensive live experience as drummer with punk band BNI, percussionist at varied local dance festivals, member of MANDALA MALTA featuring David Goodman (of THE SEX PISTOLS, SHAM 69, and UK SUBS fame besides others), and last but surely not least as a DJ with a whole rig of samplers that encompass the FISH STYLE ANARCHY STYLE, GILDA welcomes and presents to ye all IL-FISH!!!!
His style has gone a long way from contributing to artists like OZZYLINO, VINCE BONGAILAS, WINTER MOODS, to a style of his own reflected through a mix of House, Techno, Trance, IDM, Break Beats, Ambient & Hip-Hop, and this time at GILDA also an exclusive very anarchic set including Gabba & PsyTrance!!!!
To check out developments of this multi-talented musician > www.fishmalta.com
DJ NECROGOOL & LIVE TRIBAL PERCUSSIONISTS
Not new in the industry and having worked as journalist, radio presenter and musician in different musical fields, his view has always been to present the unknown and crush cultural barriers. Resident DJ throughout all 9 Bisoul events and known as the Bisoul Enigma from your Nightmares for the pure fact that his playlist style changes from event to event, GILDA is hell break loose for you all as DJ NecroGool is promising his most powerful & defiant playlist ever!!!
In fact, as his PysTrance set has now been getting established at every Bisoul event, GILDA sees him venture into hard gabba style known as DarkCore and as he promises – “no feet shall rest from dancing, no head shall rest from banging” . To add to this insulting twist of torment, three experienced percussionists being IL-FISH himself, ID-DRU (from DESPISED) himself celebrating his farewell party to Ireland at the event, and ID-DINO the mighty all-rounder from triphoppers WOUND, lethal metallions LITHOMANCY and punk/ska sensation THE I SKANDAL, shall be live on stage together with IL-GULU to devastate your serotonin and leave no eardrum left unturned!!!! Surf on to the playlist section of www.bisoulpromotions.tk to get a preview!
On a milder note, DJ NecroGool shall later spin some 80s new wave tunes with a modern guitar-edged touch for those of a different perspective. Get ready to spin yourselves round like records my dear babies :)
TRIGOTHLON
For all the old school Goths that Bisoul has so much at heart, how better way than 3 different marathons of good solid goth music as resident Bisoul DJ Swan, upcoming regular Agnostic and first timer (although definitely not so for the scene as may be witnessed at www.lib66.tk) Mike, where chapters of gloom and old talco days shall be re-enacted via 3 songs of each from SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES, CHRISTIAN DEATH, KILLING JOKE, JOY DIVISION, THE CURE, THE MISSION, BAUHAUS, FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM, and last but not least SISTERS OF MERCY!!!! fReeZe 20/ 09/ 2004 (eve of a public holiday) @ Signals Club, National Swimming Pool Complex, Tal-Qroqq, Msida
flyer | poster | event schedule
There has not been any Bisoul Promotions events for a while, and many thought our souls migrated elsewhere. Well fact is that yeah, DJ Gool left with both body and soul to check the clubs in Australia for a year or so, and since organising a Bisoul event has never been just getting some people to spin some music, the share of work at the time of our life when personal commitments took over was a bit on the side of either well or nothing, and we chose nothing!
Why? Always picky on delivering quality rather than quantity, we knew we will come back when energy permitted, so here we are with another party (might be the last?), through which we would like to freeze our impetus on a local music scene that has always followed with interest (for a smarter word than fashion) what Bisoul presented, yet at a later delayed stage than we would have desired (read - gothic is not fashion, industrial is not hype, etc etc!)
Notwithstanding this, delving into other styles besides all the spheres of metal and goth not being a first for us, this time we are going to present bunches of sets that verge a lot on electronica!!!! Besides the revamped edition of local industrial forefathers CYBERIA, through fReeZe we are gonna set powered audio-expos covering Cybergoth, Industrial, Gothic Electro, EBM, PsyTrance, PowerGoa, and whatever lies in between.
Yet that is not all, as The Vampire Chronicles will take you on a venture of good old mate Count Vlad Tepes as he presents himself across such tastes from electro to metal back to gothabilly to batcave rock to classic rock to reggae to ska and back to good old trad goth!
Want more? Well, for the chicks there is gonna be a special Bisoul Barbie Babe contest, where gifts will be courtesy of www.x-tra-x.de, www.toysfourplay.com & Bisoul Promotions itself - make it a point girlies to write this date in your diaries maybe it will be you to wear/play with that special one-off girlie-gift exposing you as the Bisoul Barbie Babe 2004 - that is one for the ladies :)
For all others still partying hard in the early hours (irrespective of gender this time), we promise a special Blood Red & Green Slime Bisoul Breakfast! Spooky? I would rather say deliciciciciouuuus - just be there and feed yourselves, make your fingers red!!!!!
So let your red fingers do the walking as you browse our sweety-beaty flyer for fReeZe! C'mon? Ain't it a love/hate image our kind TragicMistress has managed to capture? Loved by those of our breed, disgusted by others? --- which is just as oh so fine by us :)

"Oh yeah dude, rap it man rap it!!!!
Wotcha do it to me baby, the hip-hop groove?"
Gau, gotcha motcha muthafucka, these were the reactions of some nice folk when they read our rap aspiring way to give a cliché name like Night of the Living Dead a slightly different accent!
And indeed, we are pleased let us say it! Cos we are so nicely respectable folk that we let all express their opinion. In fact this event has a slightly different accent in a way as it's the first of its kind from what you'd expect of Bisoul. Nah, not cos we suddenly twisted to rap, not at all, but more cos in this event we shall be teaming together different DJs who will be covering different dark and chilling music styles from the 70s up to futuristic post 2003 rock into a one non-stop music party:)
From humans to humandroids to androids : that is the state DJs Gool and Swan with their thrash, death, black and gothic metal will hopefully turn you into. Yet they ought not to be kept responsible as they will be sharing their show time with a number of men-at-work as follows:
Rusted Children 14/07/2002
@ Best in Town, Paceville

Chilling freezing art! Horror to humour clips, shocking poetry and prose,
dark pop to industrial electro to black metal audio and video, BDSM show,
live bands CANNIRIA and CYBERIA and more.

Back again Bisoul, back again CYBERIA. After an hour of goth
and industrial rock from DJ Swan and some tripping electro industrial and
passionate atmospheric metal from DJ Gool, CYBERIA back on stage. Their
delivery on this night was hard-driven and the crowd went crazy, in fact a
whip from a girl dressed in black even made its way on stage and Alfred Burd
enjoyed fiddling some backbones with it! Was this the effect of AFTERLIFE,
the surprise shock of the night?! You could have knew only if you had been
there..

Friday Fragments 02/07/1999 @
Ministry of Time, Paceville
flyer front | flyer back
Intrigued by the mass of people who made their way to Equinox, our 2nd venture was held on 2 floors. DJ Nac-Nud entertained patrons in the chill-out candlelit The Dungeon with only and only dark wave soundscapes while DJs Gool & Swan presented gothic/ postpunk/ atmospheric
metal/ industrial (and some other thrilling soundtracks lest we forget) sets on the main floor.
Up on the main stage, we had 4 main issues - in a nutshell being
poetry, fashion, history and live music.
In fact this was our first time presenting some local musicians in a scenario
the local audience does not usually familiarise them with. This as their respective
usually vivid stage presence gave way to accompanying others who were reading
out haunting poetry in Oh Sweet Verse, Oh Sweet Melody.
And to La Rocchetta Mattei, an audiovisual representation of a castle in Italy
with music by legendary band ATARAXIA.
And from spooky to spookier as the sounds of THE SWANS invited a juggler onto
the floor. And then, one by one, depicting the age of sorcery during the Inquisition,
the models of Ness and her Eve of the First Solstice fashion show made their much commended entry!
And if that was not enough, from their recording sessions onto our stage,
OBSCURITAS AETURNUS rounded it all up with their set of vampyric dark metal.
Add to that all the exhibitions one may read about elsewhere and that was
Friday Fragments for you all.

Equinox 21/03/1999 @ Ministry
of Time, Paceville

Bisoul's debut event! DJ Swan greeted all with "the sweet music of the night" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom
of the Opera, then developing into an array of dark pop and old school goth.
Following that CYBERIA took to the stage with their hybrid industrial electro
with harsh metal vocal overtones. Their set was quite welcomed and after they
played an encore, DJ Gool took it from there for his set of gothic metal.
Then it was time for James Grech, proficient violin virtuoso who entertained
the audience with his squeeling runs of Vivaldi, Paganini, Berlioz and other
sabbathic composers.
After another set of gothic metal and modern electro goth by the DJs, ACHIRAL took to the stage and the pit turned into a total massacre as this trio is
known to be one of the most in - yer- face metal bands from Malta.
For those whose dark side is of a more romantic nature, we set up a Victorian
lounge where couples could enjoy their stay to the scents of incense and the
sounds of medieval folk music. Yet all from anywhere stopped from anything
as they heard a motive from Bram Stoker's Dracula soundtrack! All eyes were
in awe and DJ Swan stood up there at his best ----- feeling satisfied flying
high!
