While on holiday in New York, a break from the nightlong gothic nights and metal concerts in East Side downtown Manhattan I paid a visit to Brooklyn. I knew well beforehand of the quiet resting place known as Greenwood Cemetery from a catalogue by The Association of Graveyard Studies, and I had made it a point to visit this place ages ago.
Past the dirt of the streets of Brooklyn, I finally made my way into the place of the dead. For all those who have ever lied down on the grass to the swans passing by at Hyde Park in London, you will definitely understand why I like to call Greenwood as A Hyde Park for the Dead. This feeling was shared as A Day or Two, an exhibition held in The Niche during the Friday Fragments event.
Let the dead call the living, let you living seek the dead……
