Deluge of Sorrow

Few years ago, in a very strange world, a couple of guys unknown to each other, decided to have a word. Not really knowing how it happened a band came into being.

The stressing and challenging lives of these guys naturally forced them into delving the deep sounds of underground metal, into the abyss of gothic and doom metal.

During the first jamming sessions by those creatures, Nico, Keith and Matthew, a promising noise was orchestrated. A year later, after erratic rehearsals, DELUGE OF SORROW was the monicker under which Ludvig on drums, Yury (aka Il-Fubu) on keyboards, Nico and Keith on guitars, Matthew on bass, and finally Rodney & Katia on vocals were to carry on.

This soon paved the way to more intense steady rehearsing and songwriting, which although saw Rodney leaving the band, it did not deter the focus of the final aim to establish DELUGE OF SORROW as a fresh albeit morose introduction to Malta's doom/death metal scene. A second attempt to blend male vocals into the music was the introduction of Sandro into the band's line-up.

The experiment unfortunately failed leaving once again DELUGE OF SORROW without male vocals.
 
Having come from different backgrounds, styles and walks of life, being influenced by a variety of musical genres ranging from epic doom to trance-electro, DELUGE OF SORROW is the ongoing outcome of continuous experimentation and hard-working nights. On the live front, 2004 was the year DELUGE OF SORROW launched itself on the local scene.  The response of the local metalheads was encouraging as the band realised its potential from the following during its initial 3 gigs.

The future plans of DELUGE OF SORROW include End of Chapter One, a live performance shortly after appearing in Bisoul's GeNeTiKa that shall seal them off into the studio for a while. We will come back soon and heavier, with a recording and more lives shows!!!!
